The short version: Blinkback does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. There is no account and no cloud. Everything the app records stays on your device, in your own photo library. We can't see your videos, and we don't track you.

Who we are

Blinkback ("the app", "we", "us") is a camera app that continuously buffers the most recent seconds of video so you can save a moment right after it happens. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information we collect

None. Blinkback has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of our own. We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, device identifiers, or usage analytics. The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics software.

How your camera, microphone, and clips are used

Camera and microphone: used only to show the live viewfinder and to record video (with sound, if you enable it). Video is processed entirely on your device.
Saved clips and photos: when you save a clip or an annotated frame, it is written to your device's own photo library. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party. Sharing a clip is something you initiate yourself through your device's standard share sheet.
Photo library access: used to save your clips and to let you browse and play them inside the app's gallery. The app only accesses media you have granted permission for.

Voice command ("Blink it")

If you turn on the voice command, the app listens for the phrases "Blink it" and "Blink stop" using Apple's speech recognition. This runs on your device; your audio is used only to detect those commands and is not sent to us or stored. You can turn the voice command off at any time in Settings.

Subscriptions and purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

Blinkback is often used to film family moments, but the app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing for us to gather about a child or anyone else who appears in a clip.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data, because we do not collect it. The only way a clip leaves your device is if you choose to share it yourself.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
