Blinkback keeps a rolling buffer of the last several seconds, so when something happens you tap record — or just say "Blink it" — and the clip already starts before you pressed the button.

While the camera is open, Blinkback continuously holds the most recent seconds in a buffer. When you tap record, the clip begins in the past — up to your chosen buffer length — and keeps going until you stop.
Anywhere from 1 to 120 seconds from version 1.2 (up to 60 seconds before that) — set it on the dial in Settings, with presets at 15, 30, 60 and 120. Longer buffers use more storage while the camera is open; at 4K keep a few GB free.
Yes, from version 1.2. Blinkback installs a small app on your Watch (open the Watch app on your iPhone → Available Apps if it doesn't appear). Keep the camera open on the iPhone, then tap the button on your wrist — it saves the moment exactly like saying "Blink it". The Watch itself never records anything.
Turn on Voice command in Settings, then say "Blink it!" while the camera is open. Say "Blink stop" (or tap the record button) to finish. You can also use "Hey Siri, Blink it".
Straight to your device's Photos library, in a "Blinkback" album. They never leave your phone unless you share them yourself. Frames you mark up with the pen are saved as pictures into the same album, so they sit next to the clips in the app's gallery and in Photos.
Yes. Tap the star on a clip in the gallery or the player to favourite it, and tap the star in the gallery's top bar to show only favourites. Stars are stored in your Photos library, so a favourite in Blinkback is a favourite in the Photos app too, and it survives reinstalling.
The gallery and player follow your phone. Hold it sideways and landscape clips fill the screen; hold it upright for portrait clips. The camera screen stays put so the record button is always where you left it. From version 1.2 you can also swipe left or right to move between clips and pinch to zoom into a clip or picture.
Every install includes 10 free saves. A subscription removes the limit and keeps every feature — longer buffers, 4K, slow-mo, sound, and the voice command — unlocked. Clips shorter than 3 seconds don't count against the free saves, and if you delete a clip within a minute of saving it you get that save back.
Yes — Yearly and Monthly both start with a free 7-day trial if you haven't used one before. Nothing is charged until the trial ends. The paywall always shows the trial length and the price that follows it before you confirm, and the App Store sends you a reminder before it renews.
To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial ends: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Blinkback. Cancelling still lets you use the rest of the trial. If you'd rather not deal with a subscription at all, there's a one-time Lifetime purchase under “Prefer to pay once?” on the paywall.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions, then choose Blinkback. You can also restore a purchase from the app's paywall or Settings.
Yes. Those modes ask a lot of the camera and processor, so the phone runs warmer and uses more battery. They're best for shorter sessions; switch back to 1080p any time.
